Real Quick: A Self Indulgent, Funny Story.
Normally, I’m a bartender, but since bars have closed down here, I’m now working a few night shifts at a front desk. Part of my job is checking all the floors of the building to make sure everything is copacetic. Last night, I was going up the stairs and absolutely destroying my eardrums with loud music, when I saw a black jacket jammed behind a pipe in the stairwell. I took out my earbuds, and went to pick it up. When I reached for it, I heard someone higher up in the stairwell move quickly, then exit out to what could have either been the top floor or the roof. Given the black jacket, and my own personal preferences, I decided to check the roof first. Now, there is actual security at my building that I should have called, but of course there was no way I was gonna do that. I just wanted to give them their jacket back, and maybe break up the mundanity of a night shift by talking to someone.
I hope everyone knows who Key and Peele are, but if you don’t. They are comedians who do really great skits. One of their skits is about this hopelessly stupid bro named Andre who dates this manipulative chick named Meegan. One of the main bits in the skit is that whenever they get in a fight, Meegan walks away, but will purposely leave her jacket behind. Andre never understands that she does it on purpose, so he will pick up her jacket and follow her yelling “Meegan! You left your jacket!” and Meegan will yell back some high pitched variation of “No!” or “Keep it!” and Andre will keep following her sincerely yelling “But you’ll need your jacket tho! Meegan! Meegan! You left your jacket!”, but she will just keep walking and the circular yelling between them continues.
These first two paragraphs seem unrelated… I know. However, all of that was just a preface to explain why I, at 4 am last night, I spent about 20 minutes climbing around the roof of a building I work at yelling “ Meegan! You left your Jacket”.
So if you’re missing a black jacket...
Well...
You’ll need your jacket, Meegan!

Also also, I am completely aware this could totally be a non explorer who was just in the building and left their jacket, but, like, whatever. I jus wanna tell someone I yelled Meehan off a rooftop last night. ✌️
