Kind of a clickbaity title, as the Rainforest Cafe hasn't been here in decades, closing in 2000 after operating for only a few years. But I chose the title because that's what I remember this place for. In fact, this is the first location I've explored that I actually visited when it was open. As a kid, I was taken several times to the Rainforest Cafe, the dimly lit, animatronic-infested poor-man's Animal Kingdom. While you're still technically allowed to enter, today there are only a handful of stores open, with the second floor pretty much only existing for the restrooms in what was once the food court, and a few stores being used as rental storage for other businesses. Most of the handful of businesses left are outward-facing only, with a few stores operating in one area of the first floor. One of those was having a sale, and it was weird being pretty much the only ones in the building except for this one place that had a line out the door.

The Rainforest Cafe would have been behind the covered glass windows on the right of #5, though the whole thing was an open space back then.

It's sad to think that this is the direction all malls are probably heading into.

Malls and golf courses are anachronistic.

i like pic 3 and 6. That food court probably was a happening place back in the 80 's and 90's. I havent been in a mall in years myself, but its kind of sad to see that period in life wasting away.
