The creepiest thing about this is the picture of the explorer.

He's a moron of the highest order, one of the Youtube goons that is like a disease in the UK. He initially tried to deny he'd sold it out to the media and that he'd never been there but was confronted with the photo of him in the article!

That particular mortuary has been explored by many people before and was kept well under the radar before this particular specimen came along, the remains were known about but as of him selling the place out, the building is completely boarded up and will be for the foreseeable future.

Yeah this is just the latest easy way for fame hungry tools to get their name in the paper and get the spot locked down. This is not, in any way, an uncommon practice. I've only done 1 funeral home in my entire life and of course, it was loaded with ashes. I hated the place but had plans to return with friends from far away. Right before they arrived it was "courageously" brought to the media's attention by someone who felt like it was their spot. The whole thing was extremely lame.

Edit:

"The problem is that families don't come back and collect them sadly. Most directors probably have remains going back years. It is unfortunate."

They even mention in the article that this happens all the time. How do you recieve a statement like that and go on to run the article? And to that point, why even include that line?

I was expecting a lot worse of a find to be honest, leaving ashes of a person behind is unsettling, but idk about scary 🤔 maybe I'm weird.

Where I live, they're only legally required to hold cremated remains for 90 days, however they usually just hold onto them in case. I don't blame them I suppose, just imagine getting a call from the family later asking to pick up grandma and having to tell them you already fertilized the garden.

I suppose if you swapped grandma out with another bucket of ashes, they probably wouldn't recognize her.

Or the ash at the bottom of your Weber grill for that matter. That's what my Mom's ashes look like. But then again, it's not like I have sifted them between my fingers.....

Finding cremains is nothing, compared to that case about 10 years ago in Georgia where the fuktard funeral home owner had corpses hidden all over the place because he claims he got overwhelmed & couldn't bury/cremate all of them.

And this place: https://abandoneds...03/memorial-mound/

Side note - looking up info on Memorial Mound 7-8-9ish years ago is when I realized I wasn't the only one doing this weird "urbex" thing. I fell down a whiskey fueled rabbit hole that night that led me here. UER that is......

There was an infamous funeral home in Detroit as well - I found a wall calendar advertising this place at a flea market a few years ago, needless to say it immediately came home with me!

That’s kinda messed up. There were better ways to genuinely attempt to reunite the ashes to next of kin besides the media.

On a separate note. I’m glad I got into UE when I was really young, around 12 years old ~1999/2000. Still plenty of boarded up houses and especially rural properties. Less and less factories and hospitals (here in Canada). They are either torn down or converted to condos. :/

The creepiest place for me was an old Tannery in my hometown in Ontario (it’s small so I won’t mention it) and The Charles Camswell TB Hospital in Edmonton (demolished and converted to condos ~ 2014). It’s in the media currently about Indigenous mass graves and unmarked graves at former Residential School grounds. The Charles Camswell has long been rumoured to have one too. I wonder if such a site exists under modern cement, brick and mortar.

Anyways, those were my creepy places.

As for creepy discoveries, A newspaper glued to a wall from 1931. I made a post about that UE place.

Never posted this till it was eventually removed. To safer place. One of number, something you need to be prepared to deal with.
