Took a hike down the Schuylkill River with a destination in mind and ended up finding something much better (which will be in a different thread). I got into the basement of the house only to quickly realize that it had a security alarm. I got out real fast, excuse the poor quality photos. Went on to the Flat Rock Dam which I believe is an old sluice. It was tagged like crazy but a lot of the old equipment was still there.

Flat Rock Dam

Down the river a bit, I discovered this monster. Photos to come in a another post!

Yeah I wish I could could have gone through it. This house was a train station, part of the first railroad in Philadelphia in the 1830s.

Historic infrastructure turns my crank. At 200 years old that dam and sluiceway certainly qualifies. Thanks for sharing.
