Happy Lunar New Year everyone. Over the long weekend which ends today, a group of four of us got together in Seoul to visit a number of locations.
We also came up with an important rule change about how to urban explore. But you'll have to wait until the end.
1. First stop was a dying red-light district with entrances that look like car wash entrances.
2. It was dead except for the ATMs.
3.
4. All the women we saw working were 50 and older.
5. This alley was definitely abandoned.
6. We moved mattresses aside to get at this house.
7. Oh shit, someone inside was coming out! We got out of there fast.
8. Next stop was a former refugee village where we met chickens and cats.
9. Graffiti graffiti, clever.
10. For day 2 we met up at a market that's being evicted.
11. Anyone need a wang machine?
12. You can find anything for sale here.
13. Anything.
14. We passed by this uniform store on the edge of the market, probably just closed for the holiday, and all had the same thought: why aren't there UE uniforms? While debating what kind of uniforms we should have, someone suggested capes, and everything fell into place.
15. We went to the next area, where I found myself thinking in order to get inside this place, we're gonna need capes.
16. And then right after, we found a flag that made a pretty okay cape.
17. Next we went to another house that had a lot of old clothes left behind, and it was full of...capes.
18. Hell yeah, everybody has capes.
19. Also worth pointing out, that's not the same flag as before.
So anyway, new rule: it's not urban exploring if you don't have a cape on.
