In Jackson there is one of the most noticeable buildings, painted bright red and using unusual architecture, it was once a seed sorting facility that became a plating facility that was sold to an engineering company.
The place has been guarded by the city for years. Literally any way you could think of entering would be blocked, the outside started to accumulate graffiti around 2019, and the site was regularly boarded up. So beforehand I'd been scoping for a while

One sunny day I had came up with an idea, using my old photos I discovered a complex way I could enter. Vent, climbing gutter supports, shed roof, through windows.

This is what the building looks like from around back. It was built in 1917 according to the keystone above the front door.

A section of the bottom floor was covered in large weight-dispersing sheets of metal. This area was filtered to a huge vent on the exterior.

This space also housed some machines, with labels such as "Cascades Project" and the "Waterfall Project" which is the tangled metal mess depicted below.

I'm not sure what kind of machine this one is, my best guess is a broaching machine. This room had a bunch of asbestos insulation in it due to the boiler room being below in the basement.

There was this old heat treatment machine that was leftover from the plating company, it sat in this single-story, triangular room seen in the first photo. There was a different room parallel to this in that triangle that was for "chemical classification"

This second floor had a vent to the smokestack, maybe to filter something, in a different photo the vent connects to a room-like machine.

Across the courtyard you can see Michner Plating Co. from https://www.uer.ca...urrpage=1&pp#post0

More old leftover plating equipment was scattered around the building. This spot must've been for something, there was several breaker boxes and a conveyer belt.

The newer company might've removed the old hooks from this conveyor on the ceiling.

This is an odd wedge shaped room at the third floor, the structure can be seen in the first photo. The second floor for this area had a sign reading "FEM Room" it stands for something but I've forgotten.

The stairs on the left led to this weird attic space, the room had a bunch of walkways, hanging light bulbs, and a fifth floor platform.

On the roof you can actually see what's going on, I'd found a small door and gotten atop. The block on top of that long building is a different stairwell. I actually found a grill in those stairs, which may explain the numerous scorches and grills all over the factory.

I took this photo in the third floor of the the other "weird-roof" building. That space was more open. I'm surprised there is barely any water damage.

A week later, when coming past the place again, my point of entry was missing. Vent to stand on was gone, so were the gutter rungs, and the roof above the loading dock.

Cool that you were able to get in a take some pictures. Since your way of entrance is missing now we can only guess when someone else will get in.
