Should this board be "open to all"?

Now that UER private board moderators have the option to make private boards open to all UER members, I was wondering if maybe this board should do that. That may get a few more people to join up and maybe get the conversation going again (seems like nobody is really posting much lately, including me...)

Just an idea, no big deal if it doesn't happen. It's not my board and I'm not the moderator, but I thought I'd ask...

Not like what we're discussing is "Super Secret".

I am pretty sure it is, all private boards are open to every one, they just have to click to get in.

Not exactly, some are public and some are totally private and you have to be a member of their respective super secret squirrel clubs to even know they exist.

If you click on the "private boards index" on the top of this page, you'll get a listing of the private forums you are member to, and also a listing of "public" forums--you can just click on one of the "public" forums and viola!--you are a member, none of this PM-ing the moderator nonsense.

Av-X explains it here: http://www.uer.ca/...d=1&threadid=12829

I only suggested making this forum "public" to UER folks because I'm not sure how many people even know this particular board exists; I only found out about it almost by accident.

Just a thought...

Then this board is for every one, it is just not listed to you cause you are already a member. Any one can join.

Oh yea, right. Duh.

<bangs head on computer monitor>

If this is one of the "open-to-all" boards and I didn't even realize it, then I kinda feel stupid for bringing it up.

Its all good, we call this a brain fart ! All of the "specialty" boards are open to all people, I am sure AV has a few that are really hidden, but other than that they are all open to every one

Don't forget our secret handshake andrea.

Seriously, keep this the way it is. It piqued my interest and I actually enjoy this board. In time, I will be able to make a more valuable contribution.
