Hello! Long time lurker, first time poster.

My partner and I visited this location back in September, from what I can tell it looks like Freddiequell was the last to have visited and posted anything.

I did some research beforehand and upon visiting, talked to the current caretaker.
I've typically seen two stories about why this house exists floating around, either that the owner was "building his wife a castle on the hill",
or that it was supposed to be a resort/hotel/motel/whorehouse depending on where you get your information from.

I asked about its origin, and according to him, this is the story:

"He (the owner) is a mechanical engineer. He got a little too drunk one night, and started drawing this on a bar napkin, and then he started building it."

So there you have it.
The caretaker told us that there had not been a fire on the property in the past like some people had thought, and they previously had problems with squatters who probably left a mess inside. He also mentioned that there was a local kid who was clearly looking for a place to smoke weed that had snuck up there a few times.

He said we were okay to check out the property, so we said thanks and headed up there.

Many of the vehicles that had been on the property in the past are no longer there,
but there's still a fair amount around even though they have unfortunately been vandalized over the years.

The inside of the house was unfortunately pretty rough,
it's obvious a lot of people have been in and out over time and some have clearly used it as a place to stay.

Some entertaining graffiti just before the top floor of the house

Almost every surface in there was covered in guano, and we did see a few bats during our exploration

Not the best picture, but one of the little furry dudes hanging out on the ceiling

Overall, not too bad for a first location.I imagine this is a place that'll probably get torn down within the next 10 years.
Wish the interior had a little more to snap shots of but looking forward to explorations in the future!

Woah, it's so cool to hear the initial thoughts of creation over a place like that which has been so run down over the years, great shots too!

Thanks! I was hoping there'd be a little more to the story myself, but hey sometimes the truth is just pretty simple.

Nice to know Dub step isnt dead !!!

Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time.
