So this is probably already posted about, but in the rural Wisconsin region while hiking I found this cool little cave thing off to the side of one of the trails. I went inside, and found it was really cold and eroded, but still snapped some photos and moved on. I'm trying to convince some friends to come back with me but they think I'm crazy for going in there in the first place haha! It was in a very random spot, and I am so curious to know why on earth it was built or what purpose it used to serve, but in the meantime, exploring it was a lot of fun, and a good way for me to dip my toes into the waters of urban exploration!

Super neat. Any idea what it was used for? Around MSP we have lots of brewery caves and this is pretty reminiscent of them.

I have no idea to be honest! There are no breweries or any old structures really close by so I'll have to try and do some digging, if I find anything I'll let youknow!

These are fairly common around places that were built before refrigeration was common.

Iowa State University has one big enough to drive a truck into.

Ahhh that makes sense. It was definitely very cold in there even when it was 80 degrees outside!
