I stopped by the AMC building, unfortunately security was parked right next to us, with view of the entire demolition area. The demolition was completed in December 2022.

This building was once a small Ford lab on the edge of Jackson, the building was used for emission diagnosis in its later years, and was abandoned in the late 90's. The building was demolished in late 2022.

This demolition started the earliest, though it hasn't been completed; security has been completely removed from the site.

The demolition has been taken on and off multiple times over the past year, and is moving at a sluggish pace.

I took this extra time to check out some areas that I'd missed:

This is the tallest demolition, which started a few months ago, and is nearing its end as the walls of the ten story building swiftly come down.

You just have to be here to see how jaw-droppingly big the site is.

You really make the demolition look interesting. Cool shots. The lighting on the car is amazing.

Nice pics and thanks for sharing! I went in it a couple-few times around the time the pandemic was raging and half the world was looking for something to do... Never saw that amazing wreck of a classic car though. It would be nice to think that someone got it out of there (any way possible...) and saved it as a future restoration project, but who knows... ??

Nice set! Your outdoor shot give a good sense of the sale of the place.

Yeah it's pretty hard to put scale into photos, even the biggest buildings look smaller in the photos. I'm always surprised at how big the places actually are when I get to them, despite the numerous times I'd seen them online.
