This hotel was closed for few years, but due to its remote location, it remained in very good condition compared to other abandoned buildings.
Now it is being renovated.

Good quality first post. Are you based in Korea? I'm surprised we haven't run into each other already, either on some other website or in the wild.

(EDIT: I modified your post to embed your YouTube video properly.)

Hi!

Yes I'm based in Seoul. I started urban exploration while looking for fun places to fly my drone. This is my first posting in a community outside Korea

BTW, is there a standard code for embedding in this forum? I tried to embed using various codes but couldn't, thanks for modifying my post!

If you click modify for your post, you should be able to see how I embedded it.

Are there local Korean urban exploration communities, like on Naver or DCINSIDE or somewhere? Other than just whatever is on Instagram, or *shudder* ghost-hunting communities, I've never found any.

Oh, I can't modify it as 24hrs have passed.

We do have a forum in DC inside:
https://gall.dcins...ard/lists?id=99922

also a Kakaotalk open chat room:
https://open.kakao.com/o/gIRIlDed

Both are moderated by same person, who also owns a youtube channel.(https://www.youtube.com/@518tank)
This community (mostly) don't like ghost hunting, so it should be good!

You need to use this tag, except remove all the spaces in it:

No problem.

I've played fixer for a handful of drone pilots visiting Korea, but I've never seen any of them with the inclination or skill to do anything quite like this -- they just liked going up over downtown Seoul and especially Dongdaemun, tourist stuff. The technology must be pretty advanced if you're not crashing into walls and losing drones all the time.

After losing few analogue drones, I ended up buying Dji Avata. Since I'm exploring solo, it's important that the drone can hover by itself when I take off my goggles whenever I hear someone(or something) coming.
The drone has both GPS and vision sensor. GPS is cut off indoors, so it usually relies on the vision sensor(looking at the floor to determine it's location). It gets unstable inside a dark environment, so that's where you need to be really careful.

I actually crashed my drone inside few buildings, so had to climb up the wall
