My top Fives
Brazil
I feel as though the main character mirror my own existence in some ways.
Eraserhead
First David Lynch film I have ever seen. It jarred me out of seeing stories as just plots.
Fight Club
I have an enormous appreciation for this film. I feel if people(including myself) were to utilize the truths pointed out in fight club, the world would be a better place.
Jacobs Ladder
This one is one of the main films that influenced my sense of aesthetics. Beyond just being a good story, it made the point that fears run deeper than what is conscious.
Ikiru (To Live)
This is the film that pointed out that I'am in fact dead, as I'm not living my life.

Nice selection, though it makes you sound a bit depressed

5) V for Vendetta

4) Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

3) Ed Wood

2) Where the Buffalo Roam (1980, with Bill Murray playing Hunter S.)

1) I have like five I could put into this space, but I'll pick my favorite. The original House on Haunted Hill, 1959.

Also rans:
The Comedy of Terrors, 1964 with Vincent Price, Boris Karloff and Peter Lorre
The Abominable Dr. Phibes series. Too bad they didn't get the third one off the ground.
Sleepy Hollow (1999 version Tim Burton directed)
Edward Scissorhands
Watership Down (1978) The one with John Hurt as Hazel.
Dr. Strangelove or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) with Peter Sellers playing all the parts.

These among about a thousand others, but these are the movies that if I see them in the schedule screen on cable, I will make plans to watch and leave sticky note reminders of when they're on so I don't forget.

Movies:

5. Waiting...
4. The Faculty
3. Toy Soldiers
2. The Professional
1. Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai

I'm going to just throw out five movies that I've seen before that I really liked, that aren't as well known and if you haven't seen them, do. I've seen way to many movies, to decide.

Favorite Actors/Actresses:

5. Ryan Reynolds (I compare my personality to his)
4. Bruce Willis (Has he been in a bad movie?)
3. Jason Statham | Clive Owen (About equal for Action ... Statham is better)
2. Milla Jovovich (Actress not afraid to get Down and Dirty)
1. Jordanna Brewster (Great Actress, do a google image search)

As far as I am concerned Charlie Chaplin made City Lights and Modern Times and the best of the best filmmakers have been humbly trying to get close ever since.
