| | | Hmm, interesting concept. So are you saying someone is going around with some sort of transmitter killing all these people? Or are you just saying that transmissions have somehow caused the Spontaneous Combustion effect? It sounds logical, really, but we didn't really have RF a couple of hundred years ago did we? People have been spontaneously combusting for quite a few hundred years. It's an interesting theory, like I said, but I think it has a few loopholes. EDIT: Just thought of something... Keeping alone the same lines as a frequency, since everything in this world has some sort of vibration or sound (I like vibration better); there does appear to be the possibility that some vibration on another level eminating into this level (world, realm, whichever)... or even from the earth itself... could cause the spontaneous combustion itself. That would also explain why they haven't figured out what it is just yet, because it's based on phenomenon that most scientists tend not to follow, it's shrouded in history, one of the mysteries of the world.

| Why is marijuana not legal? Why is marijuana not legal? Its a natural plant that grows in the dirt. You know what's not natural, 80 year old dudes with hardons. Thats not natural, but we got pills for that. We're dedicating all our resources to keeping the old guys erect but we're puttin people in jail for smoking something that grows in the dirt. |

| | | Posted by 6 Atomic 6 Garden 6 Yeah it might be total crap , i havent heard alot about it , i only saw a documentary on the discovery channel on it once , it showed pcitures of burned people and surprisingly everything around is intact even cloth , wood , tissues ... it m ight be one of those other myths that re untrue and that wait to be busted by the myth busters -alvin-
| So far, the most likely explanation for spontaneous combustion is that it's not, in fact, spontaneous... instead a small portion of the person catches fire, and the fire spreads to fatty tissue rather than clothes, hair, and such... which burn more quickly but not as hot as fat would. The person's fat then burns slowly and very hot, like a candle. Support for this explanation is that people who are claimed to have spontaneously combusted are often overweight (more fat to burn away), intoxicated, comatose, or otherwise unconsious (when they catch on fire, they don't flail around and spread the flame to clothes and hair), and they are often found in bathrooms or other rooms with tile, concrete, or linoleum floors (no place for the fire to spread, so it stops when the body is consumed.) However, there have been lots of cases that fit outside this theory, particularly cases where the body burned in an area where the fire almost certainly should have spread- in beds, chairs, on wood floors and so on. (Why yes, I have done too much research on this...O_o)

| And for the ones who were in the living room or bedroom? I heard on the documentary that the small fire caused by a cigarette or other external ignition source would consume its supply of oxygen and die down before it has a chance to burn the surrounding area. It loses enough heat so that when the door is opened for that famous gulp of air, there's not enough heat to re-ignite. That would make it look like the person ignited spontaneously, burnt away completely and left the surrounding area intact.
