I'm not the biggest Sonny Landreth fan in the world, but this one tune of his blows me away big time. Rock and roll. My two favourite kinds of music. Toss in a little Cajun spice into the primordial soup, and I'm in Grinville with a capital "G".

Sonny Landreth on guitar and voice. Steve Conn on accordion and backup vocal. And that's it. Two guys making one helluva joyful sound. Search your file sharing network for "Landreth" and "KBCO". When you find the tune "Back to Bayou Teche", download it, crank your amp to 12, and try to sit still. Ain't gonna happen.

If you know of a better slide guitar song, I'd like to hear about it.

I just downloaded Robert Johnson "Sweet Home Chicago"... love that song.
I know he's not blues and most people can't stand him, but I used to love George Thorogood.. Songs like Gear Jammer, Long Gone, I Drink Alone... just in an ass-kicking mood.

There is no guitar slide on that song. I dont think the poster of this thread even bothers looking in here anymore, but ah well. Check out some Robert Johnson or John Lee Hooker for some kick-ass blues w/slide.

**Edit** I didnt see this post below

Yes I am sure, he does slide with his fingers but as for a guitar slide specifically, no.
