Does anyone here collect models of buses or whatever else about transit???

I have 15 models of buses. 3 of them are rare and were produced in small amounts. I also have pins and a whole lot of other bus stuff.

I'll get photos of my stuff later on. I left my D100 at my boyfriends.

No buses, but I've got a few trains. I've got an HO model of the Pere Marquette 1225 on my desk here.

And I'm just starting to build an HO scale EMD GP35. It'll be modelled after TSBY 394 'City of Clare'.

Presently, I am interested to buy any reasonable priced Prevost / MCI / Setra coach in good condition and in HO scale. Also, HO transit buses (New Look, Classic, LFS) are on my wanted list. PM me, if you know where I could buy it or you have it for sale.

This afternoon, I think that I ended my long time search. It is not totally confirmed yet, but I may be able to import 1:87 Greyhound buses for about $10.00 USD. I still wait the confirmation, but if it works, I will be able to consolidate order to reduce S&H fees.

I've bought several models off ebay (Including a rare Orion V, a Gillig Low floor and a Fexibie). I've get a Provost HE-45 directly from the factory. I also bought a few went I went to New York last summer and some from hobby stores. They are acutely quite easy to find.

Forget the LFS model. I never saw any and when I went to NovaBus I checked with them and they don't have any like Prevost. (I went to both Prevost and NovaBus factories, I know how they make LFSs and H3-45s and Le Mirage XLII )!

I also knew a great website but don't remember what it is. I'll try to look around and try to find it.

On E-Bay, the 1:87 Greyhound MCI are never sold under 20-25 USD. When I was killing my time waiting my bus to arrive, I bought that usual Greyhound bus bank from the station in Portage La Prairie,MB. The bank is very nice and it spent a good time on the top of my computer screen at work. When I used to work for a former coach lines company, I remember the owner/operator bought a brand new H3-40 in 1994 and it got it in model scale on his desk too. It was about the same size that my Greyhound bus bank. Also, I searched a lot in hobby shops and I never saw a good HO scale bus for sale. Hobby Jct in Dorval got great selection for trains and bigger scale buses, but totally miss the 1:87 bus market.

I'm starting to scratch build models of buildings and other structures (HO scale). I got sick of not being able to afford the plastic kits and would like to have some familiar buildings on the layout I'm building now that I have room. I figure, if I can't afford or find it, I'll try and build the darn thing. Wish me luck!

I collect diecast trucks and construction equipment, mainly cranes, forklifts. They are all 1/50th scale

Never really liked HO. Seemed like they lacked detail. The 1225 from DopeNess looks just like my Chatanooga 2-8-0. Yes, the wheel configuration is different, but the body style is the same.

I have a moderate collection of Lionel O-scale trains though. Here's a few:

I have more in storage and a huge layout in a garage that is still not yet completed.

Sweet! I like working in HO for the extra challenge. I helped a friend of mine years ago with his N scale Christmas layout. Wired the scenery and made (with scale brightness to boot) a pair of lit Christmas trees for his layout.
Here's a cottage diorama that I have. The cottage was made in 1985 as a high school assignment. and the vehicles and other goodies were made over the last 5 years. The cottage is 1:100 while everything else is 1:100.

The dock, outhouse, boat trailer, picnic table, beer bottles, cooler and beer case were scratch built (about 3 years ago) and the rest of the small items were purchased. The derelict '57 Chev was a clear molded model that I did up like an old car (the blocks are scratch built) and I tried to get the rusted look. These are my first attempts at this.

before i got into UE, i did some model railroading. time and money hindered me going much further, but whatever. i do have a nice fleet of HO scale intermodal trains, along with some nifty logging trains. i also do RC planes/helis. fun stuff

Ah crap! Meant to say "everything else is 1:87". Just saw that typo now.
