So GTA: SA comes out today. Anyone gonna buy it? I think I may... depending on price. It will be my first PS2 game (laugh, I don't care). I haven't cared to actually buy any games for my PS2 yet, so GTA: SA will be the first. Looks pretty good to me.

Gotta wait for the PC version over here, but yeah. I definately feel the need to pick this one up. I've played all the previous GTA games and loved em. This one looks to be no exception.

I'll simply load up Bittorrent and try out the unlimited trial version. I'm considering picking it up for the XBox, because I prefer sitting in my living room playing video games.

Are there any major differences, or is it all just different locales?

The city is some 30x the size as prior games (as it is infact 3 cities and country road between the three cities), it has better graphics (as new games tend to) a co-op multiplayer mode, you can swim, you can get tatoos for your character, you can body build and make your character into a made strong sprinting machine or spend your time eating to become a slow blob. You get to tag and vandalize, fly jumbo jets not only those dodos, rob casinos, perform house invasions, explode stuff...... everyone who has either downloaded it or reviewed a copy seems to think its one of the best games they've ever played. And best of all... it only loads ONCE. All the cities are apparently on one massively loaded map.

I'll be going to get it shortly.

I can't wait to get this game. But I'm not paying full price for it. I'll wait until it's out for 6 months and the price drops, either that or buy a previously-played version from Blockbuster or Rogers Video.

Definately looks like one of the best GTA's yet!

Why is marijuana not legal? Why is marijuana not legal? Its a natural plant that grows in the dirt. You know what's not natural, 80 year old dudes with hardons. Thats not natural, but we got pills for that. We're dedicating all our resources to keeping the old guys erect but we're puttin people in jail for smoking something that grows in the dirt.

I love this game... I got it the other day and actually... got ID'd while attempting to buy it... I don't keep ID on me. Luckily my friend had ID and just showed them his, the clerk was prudent that I have ID to purchase the game.

The game is so much better then Vice City, with one exception, the missions... I can't tell WTF people are saying. Me and my friend would look at each other and occasionaly not even know what the mission was that were taking because "Uhh... did you understand that?" "No... I don't speak 92' Street."

(There is practicly no loading time in the game and it loads everything, its amazing)

Sounds good Boffo, I think I'll purchase it as well. Did you figure out how to unlock the multiplayer co-op mode? Cause if not, I have a video illustrating it.

I'll buy it eventually. I beat GTA 3 a month or so ago, and I might be getting Vice City for Christmas. But when I beat it, I'll buy SA. It looks sweet.

Get a girlfriend... (literally)

if you go to her house at certain times it will allow to you to play multiplayer.

I can't figure out how to capture the jefferson motel in los santos, none of their gang members shows up so I can't start a war...

I just figured it out. Buy the safe house in jefferson, save there, reload your game, rush over to the motel, on the east side of the motel by the train tracks is where they should spawn. It may take a min or two, but it works.

Maybe after you beat all of the missions, but then there really is not point in playing anymore unless you play two player.

I did find that once you beat all the missions, I was left with a huge feeling of "thats it?" but there is still some small things to do. Like taking gang territories, getting hidden crap.

Lose only has one "o". Loose is what you do when you're trying to untie a knot - you loosen the rope. Or, you cut loose on people with bad spelling habits.
