Anyone else playing Fable? I bought it from a friend for $20 when he finished it. He didn't bother doing any of the side-quests, just ran through the main ones and finished the game in about 4 days. I'm having a blast with it, and there's still a lot for me to learn about the game.

Graphics and sound are stupendous, and I like the bit about being able to buy titles for yourself (unless you want to go through the game being called Chicken Chaser or PieMaster). I am now "Ranger", kicking ass and taking names.

Anybody else try this game out? Fun as hell.

I beat it a few weeks ago. It's a good game, the problem is all the hype had us believing that it was going to be the best game ever (I believe the designer actually said it was going to be the best RPG ever) and it just wasn't. It was a lot of fun and worth buying, but it just didn't live up to it's enormous expectations.

Okay just so I'm clear, is this the game that you basically choose your path of good or evil based on your actions?

Why is marijuana not legal? Why is marijuana not legal? Its a natural plant that grows in the dirt. You know what's not natural, 80 year old dudes with hardons. Thats not natural, but we got pills for that. We're dedicating all our resources to keeping the old guys erect but we're puttin people in jail for smoking something that grows in the dirt.

I bought an X-Box for Knights of the Old Republic...

And yeah, this is that game. Don't let my comments that it's not as good as it was hyped to be make you think I didn't like it, it's still a really good game.

Similar concept, but the game is handled completely differently. With Black & White you acted as "God", where in Fable you are simply an individual. It's somewhat like Morrowind, but not nearly as detailed, as big, or as in depth. It still looks good, plays great, and is a lot of fun.

Not to mention the fact that the actual gameplay (combat mostly) is about a billion times better than Morrowind.

The creator actually publicly apolagized several times about saying that. He also mentioned that he was forced to leave a lot out of the game due to time restraints and budget. Furthermore the game was not only compared to Black & White but was even created with that game in mind. I don't got the XBOX and haven't had much experience with the game but I only hear good things, besides its being over hyped.

Here's a lockpick. It might be handy if you, the master of unlocking, take it with you.

They also left out what sounded like what was going to be a super-cool multiplayer feature! God-damn!
