Should I get the SAPPHIRE ATI RADEON 9600XT Video Card, or should I get the POWERCOLOR ATI RADEON 9800 Video Card

I hear the Xt is better but I am not too familiar with Graphics cards yet.

the 9800 pro is better, but, but, but, Power color is a shitty company, stay away from them. Thats why i voted for the sapphire,. If you can get another 9800 pro made by a different company, then get that because they are better then the 9600 xt.

All of them aren't too great. Get a 9800 Pro with 256-bit RAM. The 9600XT is 128-bit. Seems Newegg is out of stock on all the good priced, 256-bit 9800 Pro's though...

That should be enough. Newegg has an MSI 9800 Pro there, and a Sapphire one I believe that are both under $200. They're not in stock though. Look for them somewhere else, its a great buy.

dude, just wait until more pci express mobos and vid cards are out...save up till then and upgrade. if you must have it now, get the MSI 9800 pro with 256 because it is built with a 9800 xt core that has not been cracked yet and is easily overclockable..

The TD128SP doesn't come with an R360 core... in fact, its pretty hard to get that core anymore.

PCI-Express isn't really that great of an investment right now, at least not until BTX/DDR2 come about/get better.

Yeah, I have been looking at PCI express but it seems like a complete new language to me. I might just wait 'til X-mas and dish out 300$ on a PCI express mobo and GFX card.

you should just wait, save some money and buy a new gfx card when the new ones come out. Do you currently have a 5200fx? my friend has that and it run HL2 fine.
