I had to read Paul Ekman's book while taking a bodyguarding course in Aspen Colorado (ESI Executive Security International), we watched a similar movie clip. The instructors mentioned it was very important to study facial movements / impressions in order to spot a liar or a possible assassin. The main case in point that they showed us was a picture of John Hinkley Jr. just before he shot President Reagan. He is the only person in the crowd of photographers and bystanders who is not smiling - that's the guy you need to approach or keep an eye on. His books and the courses on lying really helped me beat lie detectors as well, when I applied to be a cop. It was very important to pay attention to your body language - I caught myself touching my nose once and then quickly rubbed it even more and my eye to make it look more like an itch than a subconcious display of lying.
If I now lie and find that I have my arms crossed, I will act like I'm cold and put on a sweater to conceal the arms crossed defensive posture. Plan on doing any covert work, you better learn how to read the body language and facial movements, as well as how to cover your own subconcious acts that reveal you are lying.
A good intelligence agency will video tape the lie detector session and then compare the facial impressions during each question.

Most of my own smiles are fake, as I'm a depressed sociopath and compulsive liar. I feel that I'm quite successful at faking a convincing smile.

I would definitely agree with the previously mentioned that body movement helps determine more as compared to the face alone, but I still probably wouldn't do much better.

I got 10/20, but I'm drunk, and when I'm drunk and someone smiles at me, I generally think it's the real deal.

I'll take the test again when I'm sober.

18/20 - I missed one fake, and one genuine. I'm pretty sure I'd heard before, though, that the eyes were a giveaway for fake smiles, so I was already headed in the right direction.
