I got a... um... copy of this over the weekend and have been playing it non-stop since then. Basically, it's kind of a mix between GTA (For your ability to freely wander the city in "Explore Mode") and a regular Need for Speed game.

You gain a Street Rep by winning various races (drag, circuit, drift, etc...) and you gain Street Cred by juicing up your ride visually with neon, tinted windows, rims, and an endless amount of other add-ons. You can also add various performance parts and tune your vehicle for specific types of races using a Dyno and test track.

The graphics are spectacular, but you need the right system to see it all. I would suggest an X800 vid card for all the bells and whistles.

Sound track is typical for what you would think this kind of game would use; Snoop Dogg and his pals, basically.

Right now I'm slapping together a really nice Celica. Its turbo'd, on the juice and weighs in at 300 something rhp. I've kept it pretty tasteful so far, with the only tacky points being the spoiler and possibly the underglow. I'll post some pics of my Celica and my Corolla in a bit.

Nice thing about NFSU2 is that it's not just ricers (Japanese cars). It's got a good collection of domestics, too. By far the best racing game I have ever played.

I tried keeping my cars clean too at first. You'll soon find out you need reputation points and you'll have to start a new account like I did bud..

I don't think there is a way to do that, unless your stereo has a "game" option. Then you would turn the music down in the options menu of the game, and play your own music through your stereo. My Sony stereo system has the option, it comes in handy for my racing games.

nope mine dosnt. I remember in gta3 for computer you could use your own mp3s.

You can't make it play your music, however you can customise which songs it plays at what point in the game, or at all. Some of the music isn't too bad, so thats what I did.
