Does anyone know about there being a Team Fortress mod (either available now or in the near future)? Or any other good HL2 mods in general? I'm stuck playing CS right now, and its not exactly my forte.

Team Fortress: Source may be in the works... or it could be Team Fortress 2... or it could be none of those. Valve hinted at it in a couple interviews before HL2, but nothing solid. Like we always do when it comes to Valve games, its time to play the waiting game.

My halflife 2 wotn install, its taking like 6000 billion hours on disc 2 and eventually the pc seizes up.

MY friend downloaded it with his credit card, So I logged into his account, downloaded what was left to get, and used my CD key and voilà. my account name is [email protected] (when i joined back in the day we could only use emails). But cs source wont work, When I go to fix my filter settings and click update it freezes .

I play mostly HL2 deathmatch as CS is not workin out too great for me either, i used to like it but its more of a wait and camp game, then die and watch people in observer thing...

Is it just me or does the friends thing in steam not do a blessed thing? No one is EVER online, even when they are supposed to be.

Yeah, I've noticed that with the Friends network, too... I never see anyone online...

Half Life 2 is amazing. I like CS too, well, I like the game anyway, but I can't stand most of the players. I didn't like Deathmatch; too fast-paced for my liking, and on wifi internet it runs pretty slow (yeah; wifi, even though we don't have a laptop. It gets 15% package loss on a bad day ). When I first got HL2 though, the damn Steam program screwed it up. That thing runs pretty slow on a 56k, and it took 45 minutes just to get the game running. Granted it was worth the wait, but it was still frustrating.

The friends option almost never worked, last I used steam it was completely disabled.. And is there a way to change you account name? I'm also stuck with a Email to login and it's an Email I stopped using around the time you needed a login for HL..
