Would you believe I'm still stuck with the shitty system I posted up earlier in this thread? Yep. Oh, its got another 512mb stick in there though *twirls finger*

Nice setup Jester. Why the 6200 though?

I'll be buying this system soon, the Intel system is going to my mom.

Athlon64 3500+ Venice core S939 (going to OC to 2.6 hopefully)
DFI NF4 Ultra mobo
1GB Corsair XMS 2x512MB (2-2-2-5)
BFG 7800GT 256MB PCI-E (not sure if I'll put up the extra 100 for a GTX)
Soundblaster X-Fi (non plat)

Not sure on the other stuff yet. I still have lots of time, don't even have the money together. I'm not sure if that Corsair RAM is going to hold an overclock to 2.6. I've never really done such a huge overclock either. When the time comes I'll probably make some revisions though. If it takes a longer time than I had thought to raise the funds I will keep it as it looks... though if it takes less I will probably go with a 3700+ San Diego and keep it stock speed (or nearly). Also probably go with the GTX in that case and the DFI SLI motherboard.

No idea on the case, monitor and other crap.

I'm not actually a huge gamer, more of a multitasker. So the video will do me fine for now (and fit into the budget). The Mushkin ram was not cheap...

My previous Athlon64 3000+ is now Merlin's, I replaced that system with a 3200+ which is now Pixie's. The new Dual cores multitask way way better than the single core A64's do, which is why I changed. The gaming performance is good as well, but I am always upgrading by selling my used stuff off to people looking for upgrades (being a computer tech has it's benefits) so if I ned better game performance I'll move to a better vid card.

I upgraded my system a tad. Running a 3.0Ghz P4 Prescott on a 17 inch flat CRT. Going to upgrade the speakers and sound card next, then the video card. I also need to fit a new case in there somewhere.
