I'm assuming this is how this whole forum got started, but I don't see such a thread so let's rehash if that's the case.

What would your UE soundtrack be? My short list:

Orbital - Saint Theme
Underworld - mmm skyscraper i love you
Kraftwerk - Chrono
Future Sound of London - Dirty Shadows
Asian Dub Foundation - La Haine
Asian Dub Foundation - Truth Hides
Sneaker Pimps - 6 Underground
Lo Fi Allstars - Kasparov's Revenge
DJ Krush vs. DJ Shadow - Duality
Lunatic Calm - Long Shadows
Lunatic Calm - Meltdown
Lunatic Calm - The Sound
Soul Coughing - Unmarked Helicopters

I'm sure there are dozens more but with a music collection as big as mine its hard to remember. Danny Elfman, Micheal Kamen and Mark Snow soundtracks are generally quite good as well.

Most of my picks are somewhat electronic, largely because let's face it, the places we go aren't exactly overflowing with organic beauty.

Sneaker Pimps - 6 Underground

Almost every song from "Becomming X" is a great UE track My personal favorite (song ever AND to UE by, off the album) is "Post-Modern Sleaze." Reminded me of myself and the boys, way back when I first got started.

Spin, Spin Sugar is the track Lexis and I put to a short video we shot while ue'ing, creepy roads, etc...

I heart sneaker pimps (or @ least that album which is, in my opinion, their best beyond a doubt). Yay!

I've found that my selection will change, depending on the destination. If I'm heading for the underground, I almost always choose something dark and possibly even creepy. Aphex Twin usually does the trick. If I'm going to an abandoned building that had a speakeasy hidden in the back, then I'll thrown in some 1920's music. Scouting missions are usually accompanied by a more intense soundtrack to get me pumped up and fearless. Something punk-core, maybe.

I only listen to 104.7 Poop. I'm always in deep shit, so I may as well listen to poop.

I usually pop in Ritual de lo Habitual by Jane's Addiction to get me hyped on the way to exploring a new place. Something about "Stop" that just seems perfect for the activity...

yeah, portishead is great too. Anything from that whole "trip-hop" scene (MAssive Attack, Tricky, Lamb, et al).

I think I just fell in love with you. Though I am not worthy, because I don't know who Lamb is. /me downloads everything ever with the name "lamb." But Tricky = one of my FAVORITE artists, and I love portishead and massive attack, especially when combined.

/me swoons

i play exploring songs from game soundtracks, ff7's ost and some wild arms 3 songs (especially "let's look around, let's run over there") and i will always bring my collection of the pillows. I don't have an mp3 player really right now, just a 256 mb POS from 2003 that doesn't work with my comp. i use my little bro's MP3 CD player.
