Post pictures of your tatoos! Is there a reason why you got it? Explain...

Here is mine:

It's actually a lot bigger than it seems. It's on my left upper arm. For those wondering "what the hell is that", it's the Mackie logo. http://www.mackie.com I got it done because music is my whole life and I use a lot of their equipment and I just thought the running stick man kicked ass.

Post away!

Hell yea, Mackie (I use a 16-channel mixer by them at the theater, it's nice even though I'm not a sound guy, also it helps that's it's connected to 2 1500watt RMS speakers)

Anyway, cool tattoo.

thats mine i got it done because of my name. it means worthy of love or fit to be loved...some of you may find it cheesey but thats why i picked the celtic heart to show the bond of love and the trial wings are the embrace towards it i dunno i liked it and drew it...well yes i know the heart was already done before but you know what i mean. but yeah i dont think its bad at all for a first tattoo. i very much am proud to have it on my body.

Yeah, I've heard THAT line, before!
That really is pretty cool, though.

And LK, I love it! Celtic knots are so beautiful, I think... I have an Irish Wedding Ring, and when I get married, my husband will have no say in the fact that our wedding bands will have celtic knots on them ...

When I finally (WOOHOOOO!!) get back to school on Monday, I will post the pic of my tattoo that I have on my computer there... It is very simple, though. About the size of a quarter, it is a hot pink star with a black outline. Simple, but with a lot of meaning behind it for me.

<3 Em

The first one is the first part of the word "Tiger" (my nickname). It was drawn in Ottawa (when I used to live there) and it was my first try in the tattoo world. I hope to take the time to get it completed with the other "letter", but I am also not sure to find the right Cantonese/Mandarin spelling to complete the word correctly. If you may be of any help on this one, it will be appreciated.

My other one is this 20 sq. inches naughty raccoon. Native to North America, the raccoon is a very curious and resourceful animal. It was drawn by James at Little Sarge shop in Calgary.

I have these 2 on my left arm. The top one was done in January '04, and the band was done in July '04.

I only have one pro tattoo out of the 6 i have, which is a neat little heart with a fill-in-the-blank banner across it, with a knife stabbed through it + a lil spider web stemming off. Then I have one around my left wrist that says "Destroy Prejudice!" that I did myself. I also have the "Rune of the Self" (Mannaz) tattooed on my hand, very tiny like. Then I have "A.S.A.P." on my left bicep. (It means Anarchist Skins And Punx, it's a Unity Crew...) Then I have a heart with 666 inside of it that I did myself on my left ankle on the inside. I also have a wierd drunken tattoo that I can't really explain on my right arm done with a box cutter and india ink rubbed into it...that was real fun.

Maybe I'll get some pix up...

It represents two things. The flames represent that I delt with alot of shit and never gave up..sort of like fire/it also represents my earth symbol(you know fire,water,air)..I'm fire.

The music note represents my love for music and that music helped get through alot of crap.

My recent tattoo is the first part of a scenery around my whole arm between my elbow and shoulder

Since I had my daughter Trianna (pronounced TREE\ANNA) I have felt that she has made me 'grow' emotionally, mentally, physically, and I thought a Tree would best represent that...and of course it represents her because of her name.

I have this phoenix on my back, I've had it since I was 18. It is a lot smaller than that.

I felt at the time is represented high virtue, grace, power, prosperity, strength, peace, purity and life

I have chinese symbols on my right shoulder blade.. they mean 'Highly spirited

and then I have a tribal looking heart on my left shoulder blade which I designed myself, that was my very first tattoo when I was 17.

The richness I achieve comes from Nature, the source of my inspiration.

I currently only have 5 tattoos...I'm only posting pictures of 3 of them because I can't find any pictures of the other two on my comp. Hopefully in the future, I'll think up some really beautiful ideas and I can get more done.... I'm craving the feeling of the tattoo needle...
Anyway, the picture below was my first tattoo ever. I was nearing the end of my punk phase and decided I wanted to get something cute, skull-related and something to remind me of how much fun I had when I was going through that phase, so i picked this skull & crossbones wearing a bow... -->

This picture below I got done back in June or July and it is my most recent one, located on my lower calf of my left leg. It is dedicated to my husband; I know some of you will post that it's stupid to get a person's name tattooed because you'll never know what the future holds, but, no matter what, I love my husband and trust him with my life and if anything happens, I will always love him, more than I could ever love anyone else. I only had enough money to get an outline of everything done. I'll eventually go back and elaborate on the design a bit more, add some color to it as well, and add our wedding date onto the banner somewhere..

This tattoo (pic below) I designed myself and is located on my lower back. I wanted a dragonfly and then the french quote underneath because I wanted something that expressed that anyone should just follow their dreams (hence why I quoted "Follow you dreams" in french). Seeing as how a dragonfly is free to flutter around in their own world, I thought it would be perfect to pair with the quote.
The quality of the pic isn't too great; if I get my hands on a camera, perhaps I can take a better picture.
