If people were up for a huge music exchange, next time there's a big UE meet (say, OPEX '95) we could arrange a big mix CD swap. As in, everyone who is interested makes a mix CD and creates enough copies for everyone else who is involved. So instead of a one-to-one exchange with each person giving and getting only one CD, it would be more like giving and getting ten or fifteen mix CDs.

The major problems I can see with this plan are:

1) People might not want to buy/use 10, 15, 20, or however many blank CDs it would take to complete the swap.

2) OD'ing on music -- with a huge influx CDs, we might all collapse.

Would anybody be interested in this, or would it be overkill?

See, this is my general opinion, but in the "Mix CD" thread I always hear people talking about how they have no money to buy CD-Rs, so I didn't know how widespread a problem it was for people. I guess a lot of people here are in that time of their lives (age 16-21) when they're using all available funds on: 1) booze/substances, 2) members of the attracting sex, 3) food, 4) rent, 5) school (the order may vary, depending on your circumstances).

But maybe I am just boring, having disposable income and all...
