BTW, the company that Skelly is referring to would be Kuju Entertainment. They are developing their own simulator with Electronic Arts: Rail Simulator.

It is currently slated for release in Europe some time around the holidays, however reps from Kuju have confirmed that there WILL be a North American publisher as well. There have been no hints of North American rolling stock/routes in development for the game yet.

I always wanted to do that... I could only imagine trying to sync the game with your real ride to see how accurate it is.
