Last week I was let into the yards and maintenance shop at the museum. It is still closed to the general public for a month or so. Heres what to expect:

A few were too big to upload, but you get the idea. All maintained, rebuild and proudly shown off by local volunteers. My contact is a CP engineer that does the restoration work in his spare time. He lives across the street.

Believe that loco in the primer is an MLW RS18... probably ex CP which would designate it as RS18u. CN had them too, but not chop nosed and they got rid of them well before CP did.

Does that sign in front of it hanging on the caution tape confirm my suggestion?

Like I said, some were too big to upload, and of course they were (of course)the best. Anyway, If you are in the London area, and have time, the museum is just south of London in St. Thomas.

It WAS a high nose, only one made too, said the CP guy. It was chopped due to the obstructed view.

It was just masked and primed, ready for a new coat of paint before the museum season opens.

looks like a really neat place. I think I might plan a visit now, I should get a picture of the 3 engines working at the Abradeen yard in Hamilton.

Thats the "Empress of Agincourt", a unique Engine that was the one and only RSD-17 ever built. The nose was cut down for visibility in 1988.

It looks like they've given her a good rub down in preparation for re-painting, which will make her look great, a fresh coat of Action Red will go a long way to improveing her somewhat weather beaten appearance.

More info on the unique history can be found at the ECRM Website.
