I just saw it last night. I must say, I had pretty low expectations as I thought nothing could do in the first and second Batman movies. Keaton was just such a good Batman. It definitely surpassed my expectations. It had that familiar Batman feel to it, and the actor who played Batman fit the role pretty well. (Christian Bale right?). Michael Cain as Alfred was just great, but I can't stop thinking of him as Nigel Powers for some reason. The action was really good, not too much computer generated crap or CGI... just pure old style Bat fighting (pow, zap, bam, kapow, boink, zurp, so on). The most moving part of the movie for me was him in the newly discovered bat cave where the bats swarm him and he finally stands up to them. He lets them envelope him and sort of assumes the role of Batman. That scene is pretty moving and strong. Done very well.

What do you guys think? I give it 4 out of 5. There were some inconsistencies... including one very big one. In the original, they say that the Joker was the one who killed his parents that night. In this one, its some other guy that he kills outside the court room. At the end, he gets the case to find the Joker. Beh? Was he not killed or something? No, I don't think so. I think we were just supposed to "meh" it. Anyway, good movie.

The movie isn't supposed to go with the other ones, it's a complete restart of the series... kinda like how when the Keaton movies came out it had nothing to do with the Adam West Batman series. It's therefore truer to the comic books in which it was some random thug who killed his parents, not the Joker. I liked it a lot, but for me the animated series will always be the best version of Batman(not including the comics of course).

It was a joy to watch from start to finish. I'd say it surpassed both Spider-Mans combined in terms of just great non-CGI reliant story-based moviemaking...

yeah i always enjoyed the animated super hero shows as a kid.
i have yet to see the Movie.

I love Batman Begins. It's about time someone did it right. I mean they finally got it right with the guy who killed Bruce Wayne's parents. Plus they got the perfect guy to play Ras Al'Ghul. Not to mention the little nod to the Batman: Year One comics.

Only bad thing I can really nitpick about the movie was the coffee cup on the ice when Bruce was swordfighting with Ducard.
