I stopped "believing" in monogamy back in high school. I can count the number of girls I was actually faithful to on one hand... I suppose that I should actually have stopped believing in it after my dad started flying me to Texas with him when I was 8 for his week-long "business trips" to see his girlfriend while my mom stayed home with nothing to do... Though "rumor" has it she was equally "unfaithful". On the other hand, I've been completely faithful to Ana, whereas I cheated on my wife every chance that I got (including with Ana, though that actually became a really long, really Jerry Springer story).

Ana and I have been "swinging" for about 6 years now. We've had one solid, reliable 3some partner (a very good friend who's even gone exploring with me), and we've recently begun working on bringing others into our relationship. Right now it seems to be mostly single guys, though we're looking at couples as well (we're on a few sites), they're just not as plentiful. (As an aside, these are "MFM" 3somes - I'm not bi. Not that there's anything wrong with it, I just wanted to clarify.)

I suppose this is different than out-and-out polygamy/polyamory though, since we only do that kind of stuff as a couple. It's not like we're off screwing around behind each other's backs, though given our lifestyle (Dom/sub) we're literally contractually bound to never cheating on each other. Believe it or not, living this lifestyle has done unbelievable wonders for our relationship (hell, it's already outlasted my previous marriage!). I think that the swinging we do benefits our relationship not only by adding a bit of spice, but by introducing us to interesting friends we otherwise might never have met. For instance, one individual we just met last Sunday loves the outdoors and, while living in Oregon, loved to hike the Cascades, but he's never seen much less hiked/climbed the Adirondacks. Once the weather warms, we're probably going to take him to one of our favorite mountains. And the best thing about these guys is that it's not all about the sex - these people are friends that we have the opportunity to do the spank-shaggy with as long as everyone's in the mood. If one or more aren't in that mood, there's no loss, since we value each others' friendship and company.

Open from the start, lasted for 8 months (she had to move home tho on the upside, she was into UE, and her home is moscow, so if I go, I get the grand tour of moscow underground!) Lots of hanky panky, it was the best...including 3somes.

I completely disagree. I've been with one girl for over 3 years and I can't even imagine myself in bed with another. Why would I bother? Why would she bother? We openly communicate and tell each other exactly what we're looking for - and then try to do the best we can to meet each others needs.
Seems to have worked so far.

I have to agree with you on that one; buddy of mine finally settled down with a girl (ugly as sin, stinks, and I swear she's going to kill him in his sleep one of these nights... but I warned him) after spending a few months bouncing from chick to chick literally using them. He'd get them to the "I love you," point, but never say it back to them, have sex with them a few times, then get bored and move on.

Worst part is that Ana and I had been involving this guy in our "personal" life - if you will - for about 5 years, and she always kept telling me that she never wanted to have full intercourse with him because she didn't want to be a notch in his bedpost. Finally, I saw that she was right, and I'm glad I didn't press the issue.
