What do you bring when you go stormchasing? We're in Colorado and its a great place to see some nasty weather out on the plains. We usually take a handheld GPS, Motorola 2-way radios, and our NOAA radio. And yeah, a sack lunch.

That's the some great stuff to bring. Other desired items are:

~Rain poncho/rainsuit
~Chest-high waders
~Cooler full of favorite drink
~24 pack of bottled water
~Van (preferrably holding 9 or so)
~CB radio (for talking to truckers further up the highway)
~Rain meters
~Wind meters
~As many road maps as you can get your hands on in case you need to take a quicker, alternate route than what you are currently on.
~Cameras (Video and still)
~Laptop with satellite modem for the most current updates for weather while you are on the road
~LOTS of gas $$
~Quick getaway plan in case things go sour

NOAA alert radios are not yet activated in Canada yet ( this August). I bring my scanner and listen to the Environment Canada (our equivalent of the NWS) forecasts and alerts.
