Ok, Im hacking around today and I am looking for trackpads from latops, I cant find any here in Belleville, anotehr thing is does anyone know where to get touchpads that turn your home monitor into a touchscreen display? I thought of another route to phase out mice from my system woulbe to take one of these and use it as a trackpad. Feedback is appreciated, thanks.

I dont have any laying around, but if you really wanted some... I am in the Silicon Valley, there are places where i could get old laptops with touch pads for very very cheap if you wanted a few to cannibalize.

I have an old Acer Aspire 1304 collecting dust that bit the dust 8 months ago now, when I ruined the processor/hdd by spilling milk on it one too many times. Yeah, you think, just clean it big deal. haha....ha =( I wish. I imagine the trackpad can be salvaged, though.

Anyways, everything but the RAM and batteries are available (I know you only want the pad.. which I can tear out if desired). I'm about to eBay those, as they look to be the only components with resale value. Any other components you want are yours. PM me to talk about the $$$.

Why you would want to have a trackpad instead of a mouse? And do you know if it can even be done?

I got a trackpad and killed my motherboard hacking it into a mouse PS/2 cord. So, I dont need it anymor.eee
