CowboyPenner suggested this site. It's along the beach in Bowmanville, aka Port Darlington. Some of these houses/cottages haven't been lived in for so long that the beach is slowly burying them!

Wow...I bet you that one house thats buried a little use to have a front step..lol! You can tell those houses are unsafe structures look at the sag and some of the roofs, and if the tied washes the sand up past the front door then you know the place has massive amount of water damage! But besides that it looks like an awesome place to check out! And two of your pics it looks like its beside an active marina. I've always wanted to check out the waterfront in Darlington but i always kept away from it cause of the nuclear plant i didn't know how much of the waterfront they owned, i didn't want to get caught trespassing on their property! awesome pictures Fedge..keep up the good work, i wish i was as active as you are!

Darlington Nuclear is several km's south of these cottages. This little group of cottages is on land owned by the Port Darlington Harbour Co. The individual who owns the PDHC occupies one of the cottages. 3 are still in use out of the 8 or 10 that are there. From what my research has told me the area a 100 years or maybe alittle less ago was a busy little community with a dancehall, ferry to the other side of the harbour etc.
