Don't call it a comeback, I've been here for years.

| | | I downloaded and burned an ISO of Ultimate Spiderman for the XBox last night and played it for a while. It was done by TreyArch, the same guys who (I think) did the Tony Hawk series. It looks tremendous. While 3D, it uses cell-shading graphics to make it look just like a comic book. If you've ever read any of the Ultimate Spiderman comic series, that's what you're going to be playing. It's a new take on the Spiderman legend - just bringing it into modern times and retelling Peter's story as though Peter was a 15-year old high school student again. The game allows you to have complete freedom to wander Manhatten and Queens. You can ignore your story quests (to a point, Peter keeps whining about how he has to get somewhere) and just swing around the city looking for crimes to stop. One of the cool but somewhat boring city quests is to land on the roof of a car and bring it to a stop. As you advance through the story quests, more city quests open up. One of the first things you have to do is race Human Torch around the city. It's not easy, but it's fun. I'm at a point where you play Venom, and you have to defeat Wolverine in a bar brawl. The controls are a little difficult to figure out, but once you get webswinging down, you're good to go. Swinging through downtown Manhattan is tons of fun. You can either swing across the bridge, or ride the roof of a car or truck through the Lincoln tunnel. Lots of fun! Check it out if you like Spiderman. This one is definitely better than the previous two games. C.
