My futile attempts to find an entrance to the utility tunnels actually turn something up

I was riding my bike around UVA today, looking for drains and entrances to steam tunnels. I've given up hanging around boiler rooms (or trying to get in them, rather), and instead have spent (read wasted) a lot of time crouching over grates feeling the air. Some of them have had warm air coming out, but so far I haven't found anything. I was walking around Monroe Hall, and saw a rectangular gap on one side of the building. It was big enough to crawl into, then further in you could see another hole in the wall which looked to lead to a passageway (most likely a crawlspace). It looks promising, but with my luck will turn out to be nothing. Plus, it's on UVA grounds, so there are always quite a few students around. All of the grates and manholes around here (and there were quite a few) had warm or hot air coming out of them.
