Has anyone here played Warcraft: Orcs vs. Humans? It was (I think) the second RTC game made after Dune II. It's simplicity is part of what makes it fun. You can get it on ebay for like 50 cents.

/me scratches head and wonders what it's like to have not been around for the first gen of these games... Pong and SI came out when I was like 5 or 6, maybe a little older, hard to remember. Warcraft was a long time ago but we all played it - then WC2 - I never really played 3...

I used to love Starcraft (and Warcraft to a lesser extent). Then in college I played against power players that knew how many seconds they were off 5 minutes into a game. It kinda took the fun out of it.

Still being able to drop the Warcraft CD into a regular cd player to listen to the soundtrack was awesome.

I used to play it... I always liked the part of building roads in order to put up buildings. it made the strategy a bit different... but of course you build up quick and attack with demons and elementals.

I used to play it as well, in fact I still have a couple of the .wav files from the game as sounds on my 'puter, "Work complete" "More Work" <-- Orc pion

"Enough of the incessant Clicking" <-- Evil Orc Knight thingy

"unimi valy madussse" <-- the wizard's chant.

"Da Oh grassi ahhha" <-- Priest chant.

It was a great game. In fact I may still have the original floppy disks around this mess someplace, I should find them.
