Also another Q, I ether buying a Pentium 3 933MHz, or a VIA C3 1GHz, both at 133MHz. What appealed to me was the via has a padlock technology thing that protects the PC and has Mpeg2 and 4 decoding or something, But I heard its equivalent to a 600MHz or something pentium 3. So im stuck, Which should I go with?

A network is 100mbps, a standard hard disk is 133mbps ... The fastest dsl is 8mbps... even 10mbps is overkill for most video streaming

The VIA will be slower (but not that bad) but it will also use like 1/5th of the electricity. It has a secondary mpeg2 decoder so it plays DVDs okay though, to try to even it out. "Padlock" is a hardware encryption chip, it has nothing to do with "protecting the computer"...

I like to watch videos a bit, I like to program a lot though weather it be HTML or Pearl (which im learning), So I have a number of programs that are not to resource friendly. I also want too see if I can get a copy of Autodesk inveter, even though it probably wont run too well. Im gonna run a triple monitor setup. IDK if one CPU works better at those tasks than the other. My mobo supports both so all I have left to choose is INtel or via.

The intel would be better, the VIA is only for low-power systems...

np - Via are only for industrial systems or "set top boxes" that don't do much, if the prices are similar, get the Intel.
