Does anybody out there have some extra Rodinal they don't need? I would pay a good price for some - none of the local photo stores have any. I have a few months' supply left, but want more - now that it's out of production, I'm really worried about developing...

I don't have any as I've never used it, but B&H list some stuff as a Rodinal alternative from "Photographer's Formulary."

I'd also be happy to check the darkroom supplies area of our local pro shop here in MN next time I'm there if you'll pay me back for it.

Would be happy to - none of the "Rodinal alternatives" produce quite the same effects. I have about 15 rolls I wanna develop, but I'm waiting until I can get my favored developer...

I might be able to get some 500ml bottles but this is no guarantee. If I'm able to get some I will let you know.

Well, from what I've heard it is still being made, just the distribution system fell apart. I still have my jug of the foul smelling syrup

Naw, see when Germany divided, Agfa kept the recipe for proper Rodinal secret, while the east German part of the company only knew part of the formula - this is the version still in production, it's called R09 Rodinal. I'm looking specifically for Agfa Rodinal. Agfa still hasn't released the formula...

I have about an ounce of slop left from my last bottle. Is it a collectors item now or something? ;)

I just bought two half litres of Rodinal from Henry's in Ottawa for $15 Canadian each. The drop dead beautiful female clerk at the store was pissed at me for buying it as she was going to buy it herself. oh well. I'm set for a while now. I had her check the computer listing for it in the store system, the Henry's in Toronto's filthy downtown seems to have a dozen or so half litre bottles.
Its still out there. Just ask for a store transfer of you can get to another Henry's location.
Failing that, be really friendly with your UER moderators, two of us have a stockpile.
