| | | Unfortunately, there are a few utterly unwatchable Cronenberg films. And Crash was one of them. He makes three types of movies: 1) unwatchable crap 2) utterly weird and imaginative 3) commercial, but with his touch Examples: 1) eXistenZ, Crash 2) Naked Lunch, Dead Ringers, Spider 3) The Dead Zone, The Fly, A History Of Violence There is a fourth type of Cronenberg film, his early low budget horror films like Scanners, Rabid and The Brood (maybe Videodrome too) that are in a zone all to themselves. True creative work with next to no money.

| Spider was a masterpiece. I've seen it three times now, and every time, I enjoy it as much as the last.
