The problem with one handed tourniquets, in my experience, is that the strap is usually too thin to sufficiently control bleeding in legs. I'm not saying they're not handy, but I wouldn't solely rely on a CAT.

Strangely, only about 10% of all tourniquets are actually used in amputation. The other 90% are injuries involving heavy blood loss.

Thank the gods. I dont feel like being called gimpy the rest of my life.

interesting enough if you sever a appendage many times the arteries and muscles do there own job of shutting off the blood flow. Its not always the case and it depends on the wound, but its a nice feature.
