It was hijacked.

Such a funny answer. I was asking more about how it was brought down.

I was being facetious.

It was a remote-controlled aircraft that was nose-dived into the ocean. The hole we see on CNN was created by a USAF drone.

93 was the on in PA I belive. Driven into the ground by the terrorist pilot when passengers stormed the cockpit. That's the official story. Unofficially, some people claim to have seen missels fired by USAF fighter aircraft. Not likely, since civilian radar doesn't show the fighters, and I belive the flight time from launch to intercept with the airliner is too long. Anyone else?

There's conspiracy theories all over that flight, but some points are rather interesting... like how there was next to no debris at the crash site, no large pieces of metal or engine parts.

Look at the flight (I belive it was 107) in FL back in the early 90's. Plane was somehow going full throttle when it did a plant into a swamp outside of Miami International. And in this case I do mean full throttle (300+ knots I belive) and plant (right angle to the ground). All debris that was recovered was compacted into a mass about 18" to 36" thick. If Mr Terrorist pulled a similar trick this could explain the lack of debris.

The lack of debris does put an end to the shoot-down theories though. I've seen low altitude target drones get hit before, and they leave crap scattered for hundred of yards. I would think a commercial airliner popped over a mile up would leave a much larger mess over a wider area (lockerbie, anyone ?)

True. Does anybody know if they managed to recover the blackboxes for that flight?

I love conspiracy theories.
The 9/11 conspiracy and the Moon Landing are my 2 favs and the 2 most appropriate to this board.
When people ask me the first thing that comes to mind is logistics.
Consider ALL THE PEOPLE that would have to be involved in this.
That many people cannot keep such an amazing secret.
Despite what some thing. . . . our government is terrible at keeping secrets.
We have had nothing but leaks and disclosures courtesy the NYT.
You simply could not keep such an amazing plot a secret AND create a dummy plot to cover it up.
Do the numbers on who would be involved in the cover up.
People talk. . . . people always talk.

Science flies you to the Moon. Religion flies you into tall buildings.
