C'mon. You know thats sexy.

Theres also an aluminum version which doesn't really offer the same heat dissipation efficiency, however it is much lighter. Pair that up with a Panaflo 92mm fan and some AS5 and you should have no trouble hitting the 2.8 I believe it is for FX-62. You might also want to invest in a Northbridge cooler as blackhawk suggested. That thing is gonna heat up a good bit once you start bumping things up.

OK, here's the deal; the problem with that heat pipe is that it blows the hot air everywhere. Same-same with stock cooler which is a nice heat pipe, but could use heat sink compound rather than it's thermal pad. Both are not suited for a linear air flow design type of case.

The Aerocool can be ducted to go directly out the back. The aerocool can have two fans mounted to it (included) for push-pull cooling, and redundancy. Make sure the regulators, and heat pipe sinks that sit around the base of the CPU have adequate airflow as this heat sink may not blow as much air on them as the stock. On my mobo they stay at the same temp as the heat sink evaporator (good airflow); I have a rear case fan there, and duct work driving air directly over them. Good case air flow planning is needed for optimum results.

For really bumping it up

AMD to Counter Conroe with '4x4,' Power Programshttp://www.pcmag.c...895,1988736,00.asp

I'm betting AMD. Intel always gave me a headache anyway.

The direct connect sounds interesting, but hopefully they (EA, Bethesda, etc.) will start writing games that can run on more than one core. But that also means buying more than one processor for their "4x4."

True, although this configuration will be aimed at enthusiast, and hopefully on an extended form mobo. It should realize better heat dissipation, thus allowing for higher clock speeds than if in a single core. If it happens.

One thing I don't like with the dual CPU desktop workstations on a standard ATX form factor mobo is there's not enough room. Goodies, slots, and ports that I want are sacrificed. Many times a top shelf gamer mobo is the better solution, cheaper too.

This sums it up nicely
"Dual cores in dual socket Mobos are nothing new. hell, you can order a computer with 8 dual core CPUs right now if you feel the need to multitask that badly. As much as I love AMD, this smeels of desperation."
