Hello all. I am kind of new here on UER but have been exploring since I was a kid many years ago. I was surprised (and happy) to find a comms. section here on the board. I have my own shop here in PA (Pike County Communications) and do quite a bit of radio sales and work. This works out great for me because some of my service work takes me to places where the general public isn;t allowed such as on water towers, in the attics of old buildings where repeaters are kept, etc. If anyone should ever need anything, please feel free to drop a line and let me know. We have quite a large inventory of new and used mobile, base and portable radios as well as new batteries, antennas, speaker microphones, carry cases, etc. in stock. We also accept trade in's and do repair and programming work.

Now, on to the looking part. I am in the market for a 286 laptop with either a good battery or plug in power supply. I don't need anything on it other than DOS as I want to use it for the programming software for the Motorola Syntor 9000 mobile radio. I have a desktop model currently, but it is a major pain in the ass not being able to program these on the road. If anyone has one and is good with DOS, I would like to send a disk with the program on it to be loaded into the computer prior to it being shipped so all I have to do is turn it on and be able to use it. I have a old Toshbia Laptop I got from my uncle. Its a Pentium-Class machine, but I'm not sure about it since I don't have a power supply for it.
