Er wtf? IE5? I hope you're not serious. There's been hundreds of patches since IE5 for Internet Explorer and even THAT isn't saying much.

Use IE7.

Please, Please, I just cleaned up the bathroom floor from last night. Don't make me have to do it again in the morning.

Extensions auto-update themselves quite often. Try turning off the object tabs, or upgrade to adblock plus.

Java Script blocking on? It sounds like a settings problem.

theres a certain format of embedded windows media player that messes my FF. I can play it but after I play it I get an alert and then FF completely freezes and after I close it I have to go to task manager and kill the instance. One site that is sure to do this is www.entensity.net Just dont go on a wednesday as it wont be safe for work

Ha-ha-ha. The problem isn't FF, it's WMP. No I'm not sure what it is, what are the error messages in event viewer? Doesn't sound good. Media player is forever disabled on all my XP machines; it's a malware magnet, and has a bullseye the size of a barn painted to it. Ditch it, and get while the gettin's good! I use Creative Media Organizer. Never been infested once.... so far.
