	The old farmhouse on Taunton just east of Halls Road has been struck by arson so I was told by my mom. What a loss.

	Not another one...Damn it!!! I was talking to a friend about one of the houses on Taunton Rd that was subject to arson. I now know one of the two houses that was burned down. Used to pass it on way to work.

	PS: The very old school house that was also on Taunton in Whitby but on the south side, more east has been demolished. This school house was the one that had the "Girls" and "Boys" stones/entrances. Yay. Who needs history?

If its abandoned, save what you can, take lots of pics, because in this area it will be burned or demolished before you can return it seems.

Yes...the guy was my mechanic for a while, and also a very close family friend who lives nearby there knew the people who used to live there. Fortunately they rescued the time capsule the school burried decades ago there. For more information on the school, and how and why it was rebuilt, get Brian Winters book about Whitby ...Whitby library has 2 copies.

	Also I noticed today that there is a house on Victoria St. in Whitby that was for sale awhile ago has fallen to graffiti, and has also caught fire. (roof is burned out)

	Not torn down but it's covered in graffiti and I'm pretty sure I saw a huge burn hole in the roof of the building, unless I'm seeing things, I only caught a glance of it..

Thanks Raider and Cowboy. I've been by Ringwood earlier this month. Part of the roof is collapsed from fire damage. I was talking with the Security guard posted there and he mentioned at the time that the owners are hoping to repair and restore the place. Hopefully the walls and foundation are still sound.
