Has anyone been given a hard time getting pictures of locations developed? I know the photomat people have to by law, report an child porn/abuse, but what about pictures of places you're not supposed to be? If you're sending pictures of you doing illegal things, are you screwed or what?

UE photography usually doesn't depict anything illegal. What's illegal about pictures of rusty machines, rooftop views, and so on? That's just architectual photography, really--nothing illegal about that!

The only times I've heard of people having trouble with photo labs is when they try to get photos of OBVIOUSLY ILLEGAL things/acts processed, like child porn. In high school one of my classmates had problems with snapshots of himself and others smoking pot, but in that case I think a parent who knew the guy worked at the photo lab. I'm sure there are similar stories floating around out there, but the point is that UE photos shouldn't be a problem.

For years I've gotten my UE photos processed at pro, semi-pro, and not-so-pro (Target) photo labs, and I've never had a problem. And I've never heard of anyone else having a problem, either.

I wouldn't worry about it.

I guess it depends what you mean by "UE photography." If you're viewing it strictly as taking photos of abandoned places, then yeah.. I doubt it would ever raise any eyebrows. On the other hand, if you're taking pictures of things like bridges, subway stations/tunnels, powerplants, or even drains, then it might be a different story altogether.

If you make it look "artistic" then the photo lab your printing at might even want to ask you to hang a copy of it on their wall , well maybe not , but you know what i mean.
