| | | LOL OK, you asked for it. I think we hav a bizarre combination of effects and geology coming together to make this noise. It was reported long before the modern technological age, so it isn't a nuke plant, etc. I believe that wind and geological conditions (very loose and shifty rock with many caves), combined with several large and rapidly moving underground streams, are making a vibrating type noise, and the mountain itself is acting as a resonance chamber, which makes it loud enough to hear. There ya go. My totally uneducated wild assed guess. Told ya it was terrible!
