they have two albums out Almost Killed Me and Separation Sunday and a third one coming out in October. I saw them a few nights ago at La Sala Rosa and they fucking played rock 'n' roll the way it was meant to be played. Anybody heard of these guys?

been hooked on the Craig Finn since Lifter Puller in Minneapolis. The Hold Steady is a natural progression of Finn's writing and singing abilities.

Great, great stuff. If you haven't heard them yet, pick up their stuff. Their new album is fucking fantastic as well.

ahhh finally. I like Lifter Puller but they are nowhere near as world class as the Hold Steady. They are a solid, fun band with flashes of brilliance. The Hold Steady have a chance to be a fluke and be VERY big one day, maybe soon.
I am holding off on the new album, I can't wait though Chips Ahoy! sounded amazing. I'm seeing them twice during the last weekend in October. solid.
