No law requires search companies to delete your search terms, guess what, They don't! They may sell them, and your personal habits as detailed by them. One search engine does not: Ixquick.com http://ixquick.com/

I have a new search engine.

I have a very easy solution, although it takes a little discipline to stick to.

1. I never post anything under my real name;
2. I always surf the net with tor enabled;
3. I religiously wipe the private date from my browser, especially the cookies.

I've done Google searches using my real name, and I can't find anything newer than about a dozen years old. Even those consisted of maybe a half-dozen posts to Fidonet that had been posted to Usenet, thus it
ended up in Google's archive. Because I don't keep cookies, they can't track me that way; because I use tor,
they can't track me via ip address; and finally, because I use a variety of userids, they can't track me that way either.

Sometimes it's a pain, but it seems to work.

Maybe your just not lucky. I'm not saying you don't love this country. I'm just wondering how much worse it could be if you were on the other side. Yes, God does speak to you. And he's saying: Take a hint." B. Maher

Another thing you might want to consider doing is plugging your name into things that will only throw people off who are searching for you. I've worked as an investigator, and that would throw more than just a couple of us into a wild goose chase if we don't expect it.

Well, you have to download and install tor. You can get tor from http://tor.eff.org

I think someone has integrated firefox and tor and called it torpark, if memory serves. If you use torpark, then tor is automatically used. I could explain how it works, but the best thing is to go to the page I listed above, and read how it works.
