Bought a new bass today, Fender Jazz bass...the sound on this is beautiful, I wish I had purchased one of these before I bought my shector 5 string. But the shecter is good too.

it's nice to find a fellow french hornist

Oh, thirded on that one. Though I quit after the first year of high school because it's ridiculously hard to make the F-horn sound nice..or at least for me it was! I've been trying to learn cello this past year or so, which I find to be a lot more interesting though kind of awkward to learn as a beginner at my age since so much training is involved.

Bassist and Guitarist here.

Agree'd on the awesome ness of Jazz basses, though mine is pipped at the post by my EBMM Sterling
)
The Fender Tele is a work of art too, despite mine bearing no sonic resemblance to a tele anymore (a combination of an odd custom model and the previous owners modifications)

I just bought a Pearl master studio drum set... with 8 cymbals (various of course) and high hat.. 4 toms, snare and 2 tambourines and of course snare and kick. Also bought the hard cases for them... so now I'm gonna have to start playing them... Will be fun, but I got a pile of ibuprophen so it's all good!

I play guitar pedals (and occasionally feed them with signals from a guitar). The latest is a Boss RC-50, which, with a little work, plays itself.

mewthree, I like the stuff on your myspace page. The beats are solid, especially that dark piano tune. Are you using hardware or software for this stuff?

yep.

Thanks mortimer

I am using both hardware and software to make that stuff. Mainly software though for the arranging and altering. however new new things are coming soon, because now that we got drums in the studio we have been doing more live type stuff.

I threw a website together for the music:

http://debauch.150m.com

sorry for the damn adds that the webhost plasters all over the damn place.

Haha, yeah I wish, actually I only play guitar. I was watching the flight of the conchords episode where dmitry plays the keytar, felt like the right thing to say.

My babies:

Standard Issue Gretsch Catalina Club Mod

-14" Paiste Twenty hats (Amazing, best hats I've ever heard or played)
-20" Paiste Medium Heavy Traditional Ride (Beautifully Dark)
-Cracked 16" Sabian AA Sound Control Crash (Still sounds pretty decent even with a big flapping crack)
-18" AA Medium Crash (Obnoxiously God Awful crash that only sounds good for very loud rock music.)
-A closed mini HiHat made from a hopelessly destroyed 7" AAX splash sandwiched with an old Zildjian crash that I had cut down to the bell after breaking it.

DW Hardware with Iron Cobra beaters on the 5002. Works like a charm.

Don't know much about guitars, but I think I know which one you're talking about.

Used to work in a guitar shop (has an audio dept where I worked in), and they had a showcase full of old valuable fenders and other guitars. I think I saw one of 'em in there.

I have been playing drums for 21 years. I have played in a number of metal bands and few had some good success. I also play guitar. Didn't get professional guitar training, just been around it with the bands I've been in and learned a bit here and there. I mostly play acoustic guitar.

I'm a solid body jazz guitarist, but I've been jumping into old school ska/rocksteady as of late.

Good stuff
