Went to the Elgin County Railway Museum's show today. The model railroad vendors are actually set up in the old Michigan Central Railway Station. It's pretty much urban exploration, if you ignore all the people selling stuff

I believe the other parts are off limits, but I didn't look around for unlocked doors or ways into other sections of the station. From what I hear, the second floor is bad in some places, and looking up from the ground floor you can see some areas where the ceiling has fell away, revealing the second floor's floorboards. It's really cool inside, and this is a good opportunity to have a peek.

I might be there tomorrow, I'll have a Nikon D50 around my neck. Say hi!

So if you're in the area tomorrow, I suggest a drop by. You'll probably enjoy it*. Also, check out the museum too. Sections of it are open, but the shop floor is closed due to the poor condition of the roof. It's really uncertain if the museum will stay up much longer, with the collapsing roof, and the trackage in the area being ripped up... its days are definitely getting numbered.

Museum and Station are open from 10 am, to 4 pm.

*I take no responsibility if you don't enjoy it.
